Having grown up playing a variety of sports, Ethan has always been passionate about staying active. From soccer and baseball to track and field, he thrived on learning new disciplines and challenging himself through movement.
In February 2019, Ethan began training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at Eagle Rock Jiu-Jitsu to learn self-defense, and he never looked back. What started as a way to stay physically engaged quickly became a lifelong pursuit. He discovered that Jiu-Jitsu was not only physically demanding but mentally stimulating, offering a limitless world of techniques and strategy to explore. He embraced the challenge and committed himself to constant growth.
Ethan earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from California State University, Northridge (CSUN), where he also served as President of the CSUN Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Club during the Spring 2023 semester, balancing leadership, academics, and competition.
Now a Purple Belt, Ethan continues his journey in the gentle art through training, teaching, and competing with the same enthusiasm and dedication that first drew him to the mats.
